Égalité des chances - Fondation Culture & Diversité

The Equal Opportunity program consists of several stages, from awareness-raising in high school to support during studies at the École du Louvre.

During their high school years, students from modest backgrounds enrolled in "History of the Arts" in the 8 partner high schools benefit, in the seconde class, from a "journée des métiers" (careers day) held at the École du Louvre and in the museums, enabling them to discover the careers to which studies at the School lead. In Première class, they take part in visits to major heritage sites and museums led by École du Louvre students.

During their Terminale year, around thirty students, mostly on scholarship, enrolled in the "History of the Arts" specialization or option, are selected by a jury to take part in the Equal Opportunity Internship. They come from one of the 197 high schools offering art history in mainland France or the French overseas departments and territories. This one-week course, held during the February school vacations, combines preparation for the entrance exam, theory classes and visits to cultural institutions. Students then sit the École du Louvre competitive entrance exam, without benefiting from a quota or parallel entry route.
