The third cycle of the École du Louvre
Introduction
The third cycle of the École du Louvre, is a cycle of in-depth research with thematic seminars and research methodology workshops. At the end of this cycle, École du Louvre students must defend a thesis they have written under the guidance of a professor teaching at the École du Louvre.
How to register
Admission for students from the École du Louvre:
Teaching is open to holders of the "Diplôme de deuxième cycle de l'École du Louvre" by application, with a minimum mark of 14/20 on the dissertation, or holders of the "Diplôme de Post-master en histoire de l'art, archéologie et muséologie de l'École du Louvre".
Admission for external students:
Applications for admission by equivalence may be made by students from French or foreign universities or higher education establishments.
The online application form will be available from mid-April.
After validation of the form, the entire dossier must be returned by May 31 inclusive for the summer commission, and by 1erOctober inclusive, for the autumn commission.

Selection criteria
The quality of the thesis project is a decisive criterion for selection. Once academic admissibility has been established, candidates are received by a member of the research team for a preliminary pedagogical interview, then files are examined by the research validation commission.
Graduate registration fee (2023-2024): 274 euros.
