Being a continuing education trainee in student courses (degree courses):

• First cycle at the École du Louvre (three years)
• Second cycle at the École du Louvre (two years)

To be a trainee in the preparatory class (non-degree courses, non-certifying, non-qualifying) within the framework of salary maintenance by Pôle Emploi :

• Classe préparatoire au concours de conservateur du patrimoine (one year)
   

To be a trainee in the continuing education program in auditor courses (non-degree courses, non-certifying, non-qualifying):

• HIST course (history of art and civilizations course)
• Cours INIT (cours d'initiation à art history)

For all courses, applications for continuing education must be submitted no later than July 31 prior to the start of the academic year.

• For student degree courses (subject to acceptance of the application by the Registrar's Office) consult the application submission dates for each course:
  • First cycle
  • Master 1

  • Master 2

     

• For preparatory classes for the Conservator of Heritage and Restorer of Heritage competitive examinations (subject to acceptance of the application by the Registrar's Office), consult the dates :
  • Preparatory classes for the conservator entrance exams

To meet the specific demands of national and regional administrations, professional organizations and private companies, the École du Louvre develops specific training courses with formulas that vary according to the objectives and profile of the trainees.

Please contact the Audience and Continuing Education Department as soon as possible to establish your training estimate. An increase in registration fees will be applied.

The procedures for putting together a financing file will differ depending on the organizations involved: CPF, Pôle emploi, Opérateurs Professionnels de Compétences (OPCO). Funding can cover registration fees, allow your employer to maintain your salary, or maintain Pôle emploi compensation (ARE, ASP; ATI). We would like to draw your attention to the procedural deadlines, which can range from a few days to a few weeks depending on the schemes involved, with some requiring the prior agreement of your employer or the relevant OPCO up to 6 months before the start of the course.

Please note that no application for continuing education will be considered:

• After July 31 of the year preceding the start of the course in question.
• Without the certificate of successful completion of examinations for students currently enrolled at the École du Louvre.
• Without the admission notice from the schooling committee for students arriving by equivalence at the École du Louvre.
• Without the opinion of the commission de validation des acquis de l'expérience (VAE) for students arriving via a VAE pathway.
